It may seem cliché to think the romantic love story of an American being swept off her feet by an Italian fisherman can actually happen, but it did! Ask Paula and Angelo, the loving and generous owners of Villa Valentina.
While vacationing in Cinque Terre 25 years ago, Paula was struck by the Italian love bug aka Angelo, a 10th generation fisherman from Monterosso al Mare. It didn’t take long for Paula to realize her heart belonged in Italy, so she said good-bye to her executive life in San Francisco, threw caution to the wind, and booked her one-way ticket to the Cinque Terre.
Ultimately, we hope you find what Paula and Angelo found so many years ago - romance, laughter, love, and a healthy buzz from the wine, food, and wonderful lifestyle Levanto & the Cinque Terre offers to all who visit.

This was our family’s 5th stay at Villa Valentina and it was wonderful as always. We are a well-traveled family and rarely go someplace twice let alone this many times. Villa Valentina is one of our favorite getaways, Paula, Angelo, Valentina, Alena + Teddy (of course) have become our family in Italy.
I stayed at Villa Valentina five years ago with our daughter and returned this year with my husband. It's hard to believe VV has improved, as it was so wonderful the first time, but Paula and Angelo just keep coming up with more amazing amenities. Whether you're planning on an active vacation hiking the Cinque Terre trails, or just want to kick back and chill, Villa Valentina is the place to be.

It’s the attention details that make your stay so special—they really do think of everything! The VIP boat tour was the icing on the cake + the highlight of our 6 week holiday. We can’t wait to return with our kids to visit our new friends in Levanto!
